I literally setup an alias last week in O365 Outlook using the pattern a.b@c.com? I’ve been able to receive and send using the alias as well. Maybe this is a new feature/behavior?
I may have misunderstood the parent comment - with gmail, you can add dots anywhere in the mailbox and it all goes to the same place (standard gmail, not workspace)
e.g andrew@gmail.com, a.n.d.r.e.w@gmail.com and a.....ndrew@gmail.com all are the same user and will go into their mailbox (which I have used to avoid the + stripping that some sites do)
andrew@outlook.com and a.ndrew@outlook.com are two distinct users.
Obviously if you control the domain or use a provider who supports it you can add an alias with punctuation but then you might as well just use e.g ebay@c.com to track the email source.
> I do the same, except I don't use a randomly generated address. Rather, I use something that identifies who it is. e.g., if I had a relationship with Tesla, the email address would be 'tesla@myemaildomain'.

I almost use the methodology except I add ramdom characters at the end. Tesla.ahcdk@domain.com
Reasoning is that its most likely if you have tesla@ you will have facebook@ tesco@. When adding characters you can filter on the . + 4 characters

I get you, and it's a good idea if you're using someone else's domain (e.g., gmail.com, protonmail.com, etc.) to make sure you have a unique email address.
Since I own -- and host my own domain for my emails (as does the OP, IIRC), that's not necessary, as the domain name itself makes the email address unique -- since I'm the only one who uses it. As such, I can (and do) just filter on 'facebook', 'tesla' and 'tesco' directly.
I heard facebook doesn't allow emails with "facebook" in them. Alternatively you can give facebook.te@ address to tesla and tesla.fb@ address to facebook, nobody will figure it out :)
I just tested it.
I really want to like it but i'll wait
Somethings i noticed. BTW using a Mac
App
I get errors when trying to connect. Error: Connection lost before handshake and something else
Why cant i edit the saved site. Now i have to delete and add again. After doing that once, not gonna do it twice
Website
Why is there no download app menu entry on the site. Now i have to login and figure out on the dashboard that there is a page with a link to a dropbox.
Just like a said. I really want to like it. But not now
I've been meaning to make saved sites editable - will implement this asap.
Regarding the app download, I figured you have to log in anyway to get the license key, and the direct download link is on the same page. The Dropbox link is only required for older versions of the app, and the latest version (1.0.6) includes auto updates. I get your point though - this process could definitely be improved; hopefully I'll have time tomorrow.
I'm not sure about the connection issue - I'll do some testing on my mac tomorrow to try to replicate the error, and will hopefully have an update very soon!
I don't know if it's still the issue, but even the yubikey has its limits. It's a max of (from memory) 32 2fa codes.
Which seems a lot but isn't really
