If the purifier can filter the air more quickly than air leaves the room it'll still reduce the amount of pollutants in the air. Most people aren't going to create a "clean side" and "dirty side" setup for filtering the air in a room.
I think that is what they're saying: the point is that if you're doing this, you don't want to optimize for the cleanest air leaving the filter, but more for throughput.
Condoms? They break. More frequently than you might think.
Truvada and Descovy are great and make a big difference, but they require either high adherence to taking pills daily or being able to plan ahead for 2-1-1 (for same-sex relations - it's effectiveness for heterosexual intercourse hasn't been determined).
Apretude and Lenacapavir obviously require getting to a doctor or someone who can give you the injection either every other month or twice a year, is expensive, and can be very painful for some days afterward. And, of course, they're expensive.
A vaccine is the only real option for dealing with HIV for good.
That's absolutely not correct. Truvada has had the same formulation since it was introduced in 2012. Descovy hasn't changed since it was approved in 2019.
You may be thinking of STD tests and bloodwork that is done every 3-6 months depending on your risk level to ensure that you're still HIV negative and that your kidneys are functioning normally, as kidney issues is a rare but serious side effect, especially for Truvada.
Now, what I believe is correct is that most people on PrEP would love to have a vaccine instead of needing a daily pill or even 2-6 injections per year as long as they remain sexually active.
With HN, often times things have to be submitted multiple times before they get noticed and "stick" and generate interesting discussions. It's very dependent on luck, and there are no rules against it AFAIK (aside from what the spam detector flags).
Rules generally come around due to bad behavior, which I would suggest submitting the same thing every other day for a week constitutes. It's also a very niche topic, even for this site, and not particularly useful or interesting.
Or it's more that people recognize that this isn't a "Zero-Click RCE" and we're tired of people trying to claim that every damn bug is a huge security risk.
If an attacker can already either modify the existing shortcuts.xml file or convince me to download and run a .lnk file that links to a different one they managed to get onto my computer then they don't need to use Notepad++ to do their dirty work.
I have the opposite problem. I often have to ask ChatGPT about things related to Norway and I have to constantly correct it when it keeps switching to responding in Norwegian no matter how many times I tell it to only answer in Norwegian when I request it.
A good lawyer can probably make the case that the profiles you view if tracked is your data that you are allowed to see under GDPR. But claiming that knowing who views you is part of GDPR seems like a big stretch.
Better for them to focus on the companies that don't allow you to opt out of what should be considered optional tracking without paying them.
You have a right under the GDPR to get a copy of all data associated with you PII data. Not just your PII data, but every table where PII is a field, or is transitively joinable. If they can provide somebody else something with your name associated with it, they have to provide it to you
I also don't understand what principle they have behind the GDPR claim. On LinkedIn you have some control on the visibility of your profile, and most infomation can be hidden if you want to (?!)
Buy when others see your profile, feels to me not different from a public addressbook lookup.
