You may test it. It is straight-forward do build, e.g. I tested the sdl2 demo (demo/sdl/) and CPU usage was <10%.
I did not dig further, but I like the general idea, as GUI toolkits are biiiiig.

I'll give it a try but <10% for an otherwise idle gui sounds like an architectural flaw/disadvantage. An idle gtk2 window sits at 0% cpu.

Tried and it's 2%. Not quite gtk's 0%, but better than my last test of an immediate mode ui.
