Part of the magic is the eye tracking and exterior cameras tracking hands. Without those, I don’t see how what you suggest would be very helpful

Surely not every app will use the hand and eye tracking.

Let the user attach a pair of mouses (one for eyes, one for hand).

> Next month, Apple will open developer labs in Cupertino, London, Munich, Shanghai, Singapore, and Tokyo

It can be pretty janky and still be more convenient than traveling to one of six cities.

Eye and hand tracking are supposedly the only way to interact with the device, so unless your app is not interactive at all, you will use them.

Eye tracking and hand gestures are the default way to interact with the device, but it also supports pointing and even normal cursor navigation via a paired trackpad or mouse in the interest of accessibility.

I'm assuming that in the long run the idea is that if you're developing for the platform you own one (or your company does). The labs are a bridge for the first batch of developers, not Apple's long-term plan.

I imagine, like touch, Apple would not allow apps dont don’t work without it’s primary input.
