Yep. I got sick of entering the same data six times in spreadsheets at work. I made an Access database. Added VBA to make it better. Ended up hitting the limits of VBA, made a full client app in VB.NET. Ended up importing data from a remote system using an AutoIT script. I was still an admin assistant- no-one would promote me.

That was the beginning, I never looked back.
