Okay, that’s a good point. It’s not liquid. In theory, though, surely the company could sell stock (or options, even) instead of granting it to Elon?

I don’t think Tesla’s process problems, of whatever magnitude you think they are, are as simply solved as “if they just spent a bit more this would be fine!”, or that the ‘solution’ to the Elon problem, of whatever magnitude you think that is, is “if they just paid him less!”]
