No, it isn't. Read the posts for a while and you'll see a pattern of certain groups who have an absolute view of what they perceive is right and aren't shy to say it. Maybe the mods are better now but I gave up reading anything there after a few months.

Another bad one is r/coffee lots of bickering there too, it must be the caffeine or lack of it.

It's not a slur it's pretty obvious going by some comments in r/fitness, but like I said I gave up reading r/fitness.
